//SPIT charges up green fleet with new vans

In july SPIT electrical mechanics took receipt of twelve new fuel-efficient vans that will replace and extent our existing fleet. The Vans will be employed in the mobilisation of our Field Engineers, equipment and tooling required to support our clients for static and rotating electrical equipment on site within Europe.

Since the introduction of the internal program aiming at lowering environmental impact from all our operations, including our green fleet of cars. SPIT decreased the fuel-usage by more then 21% per million kilometers since 2010. SPIT employs several electric and hybrid vehicles and low CO2 diesel vans.  Your can really call this a green fleet.

Production Manager, Patrick Kamp commented “SPIT’s clients have been utilising our capabilities of quick and speedy responses for many years and with the addition of our new vans this will allow our clients to take advantage of this service for many more years to come and with the lowest possible environmental impact”.

In addition the Almelo office of SPIT electrical mechanics signed a contract agreement with Twente Mobiel. Twente Mobiel helps companies with their mobility policies through research, advice and actions for employers. And by inspiring and activating employees. Because work on mobility is highly profitable. “Twente Mobile is a great project, in which we participate with dedication. Nothing is imposed on us from above, but the responsibilities are held by the organisation. That fits with our business-principals.” According to Kamp.

SPIT electrical mechanics offers on site inspection, overhaul, repairs and testing of static and rotating electrical equipment world wide.
